Your characters now keep their voice (and their room)

Voice masters, H3 Max Lip Sync, locked sets, and a faster story engine.

Hi there,

The first shot of an AI film is easy. It gets hard around shot 12, when your lead's face drifts, the room moves around, and the voice sounds like somebody else.

We spent the last three weeks on that problem. Here's what's new in Frameliq.

1. Your characters keep their voice

Give each character a voice once, on their Writer card. Pick a preset (new sample voices are there to audition), design one from a description, or clone a voice you have permission to use. Frameliq saves it as a voice master, and every dialogue scene you import into Composer uses it automatically.

2. H3 Max Lip Sync: a talking shot from one still

In Composer, choose H3 Max → Lip sync. It takes one frame plus that scene's dialogue and animates the face to match. The clip length follows the audio (5 to 14.8 seconds), and the export won't play the line twice. H3 Max also renders at 1080p now.

3. Sets that stay where you put them

Mark a place as a locked set and add a short "what stays where" note. Storyboard frames then keep the layout, furniture, and props in the same positions. You can also pick one good frame as the continuity frame, and the shots that follow build from it.

4. Named cast for Kling O3 References

Kling O3 References now gets your cast as named characters, with up to 7 references per shot. Switch any reference between Identity (who this is) and Look (a location or style). If you later replace a character's main portrait, every shot that used the old one picks up the new one.

5. Every prompt shares one film look

Storyboard and Composer prompts are now built from one shared film look, along with your cast, locations, and genre. Your frames and video shots stay in one visual style from start to finish.

Smaller things you'll notice

  • A first-run guide on the film overview shows new projects where to start.
  • The Asset Library now opens from the project sidebar. It shows what's using your storage and lets you clean it up.
  • The story engine is faster. The text generative actions now use far fewer Story credits.
  • Costs are shown before you generate, and when a model rejects a request, the error tells you why.
  • More credits on bigger plans: Studio now includes 2,500 Media credits a month and Studio Pro 5,000. The $19 credit pack now gives 1,500 credits.

Stuck at "add a fal key"?

This is where most new users stall. Storyboard frames and character portraits are generated with image models, and those need funding. You can get there two ways:

  • Creator Plus, $29/mo: 800 Media credits a month are included, so there's no fal account to set up. Portraits, frames, video, and voices work right away.
  • Use your own fal key: Create one at fal.ai/dashboard/keys and then just paste it once in Settings. It works on Free and on Creator ($19/mo), and fal bills you directly. Even on Media credits based plans, you can add your own key once credits end or just buy a credits top up.

Happy filmmaking,
