A simpler path from just an idea to your first AI short film

The core workflow is now Writer, Storyboard, Composer, with a step-by-step walkthrough.

A simpler way to move from story to video just landed in Frameliq.

The core workflow is now Writer, Storyboard, Composer. Shot Designer stays available when you need precise in-between shots, but it no longer sits in the middle of every project.

Composer is now the next step.

Composer as the step after Storyboard

Once your storyboard panels are ready, open Composer and generate video per shot. Pick the model and mode, review the estimate, add dialogue or music, then trim and export. You do not need to create a Shot Designer plan first.

Your existing projects keep working. Projects with Shot Designer shots can still open Composer, and nothing needs to be migrated.

Shot Designer moved to the side rail

Shot Designer is now an optional precision tool. Open it from the project hub or workspace rail when a shot needs a designed transition between two frames. It is a focused canvas for in-between shots, not a gate on the main path.

An easier way to traverse through Storyboard panels and Scenes

One beat means One scene and one scene can have multiple storyboard panels generated. You can also add blank panels and generate an image yourself.

Storyboard scenes and their panels

The storyboard view makes the scene the unit of work. The header tells you which scene you are in and how many scenes are in the project. For a scene, you can move through individual panels using the top prev/next buttons and to move through scenes, use the side previous and next controls.

Board view gives you the overview: frame, panel number, title, prompt excerpt, scene, and sequence. Single view gives you the inspector: a larger frame, the prompt, screenplay and dialogue links, continuity details, and generation settings.

Plan first, generate when ready

Generating beat panels does not spend image credits. They use story credits (all text generation like prompts). When the plan looks right, generate one frame or select several panels. The action tells you the panel count and maximum cost before it starts, and a failed frame can be retried without losing the rest of the board.

How to make an AI film from scratch with Frameliq explained:

  1. Start a new project and go to Writer module. Select your genre, enter number of beats (scenes), select language, enter the story logline and generate story foundation or just import your screenplay.
